prenatal vitamins and sickness?. my girlfriend is pregnant and when she has been wakening in the morning she feels fine, just slight tenderness of her breasts. This morning she took her prenatal vitamins (Santanogen ProNatal) and within an hour she was feeling sick (not throwing up) very tender breasts, headache and her tummy wasn’t sore as such she just felt she couldn’t bend down or lie on it as it made the sickness feeling worse.
Would the sickness etc be linked to the vitamins or is it normal morning sickness comes on randomly? Is this common in early pregnancy?
Thanks

When i was in my first trimester, I had bad all day sickness, and I was taking materna. My doc said there is a lot of iron in them, which can make you feel more nausea’s. So i went out and bought some folic acid and just took them on the bad days where I was sick like 6 times a day.
It’s probably the iron.

I was getting sick with the vitamins so my Doctor suggested I take them at night before going to sleep and that seemed to solve the problem.
Tender breasts, headaches and tummy aches are common in the first trimester, so there’s no need to worry unless she has spotting or it gets extremely painful, in which case you should call the doctor asap.

My vitamins usually make me sick, especially if I don’t eat before I take them. I don’t think the onset of all those symptoms would be triggered by the vitamin though. It was probably just sheer coincedence.

I’m not pregnant, but my doctor told me to start taking them since I’m trying to conceive. I was taking mine in the morning right after I would eat breakfast and I would get very sick and sometimes throw up. So I started taking them in the afternoon after dinner and I haven’t had any problems since. Tell her to start taking them in the afternoon since she won’t be taking them on an empty stomach. Hope that helps!! Congrats on the pregnancy!

No. Usually, breasts become sore after you ovulate with the increase in progesterone in the second half of your cycle.

Cauliflower, a flowering vegetable offers phytochemicals that the body needs in order to stay healthy. Cauliflower contains allicin, which can improve heart health and reduce the risk of strokes, and selenium, a chemical that works well with Vitamin C to strengthen the immune system. Cauliflower can also help to maintain a healthy cholesterol level. Folate is also found in cauliflower, which is a B vitamin that is needed for cell growth and replication. Is pregnancy the only reason for breast growth and soreness?. For about a week or 2 my breasts have been very sore. It seems like they grew overnight. I have been looking online for reasons and noticed that pregnancy and vitamin b deficiency often came up.

i would treat every time as if you are pregnant. take vitamins just to be safe. im in the same boat as you and im just treating it as a possible. your better off taking the vitamins that will do you good any way rather than risk not.
also go to your doctors or do a home pregnancy test rather than take the chance
Answer by i love my hubby and son’s

Answer by Bernie mac
Begin taking prenatal vitamins.
From the sounds of it your pregnant
But just in case, go to your local clinic and get a blood test done. Then you’ll know for sure.
Answer by *Twins due 7/16!*
Yes, you should start taking prenatal vitamins. My doctor prescribed me prenatal vitamins to take starting six months before I began trying to conceive. It’s best to have all of the nutrients in your body already that you will need for your baby before you are pregnant. Plus, it does sound like you may be pregnant! Good luck!

no symptoms at 7weeks pregnant, is it normal?. I’m 7 weeks pregnant and will my first doctors visit next week with the ultrasound. However I’m not having any symptoms. The only problem I’m having is sore breast. I’m not getting sick, taking prenatal vitamins with no problems, my appetite hasn’t gotten bigger & I’m not emotional. Is this normal?

Lucky lucky you.
As well, you might not be as far along as you think.
Answer by Lindsay Rose
Yessss its normal because im 7weeks too and only have somewhat sore breasts!!!!
Answer by * Princess Aimee’s Mummy with a bump*
not everyone gets symptoms, somtimes they dont come until later on. as youre having sore breasts thats a sign your hormones are increasing so still classed as a symptom. its perfeclty normal though as pregnancy is different for everyone. i had lots of symptoms with my daughter but im 11 weeks with my second and only had cramps and backache which has stopped now, and a bit of nausea which isnt that bad anymore. i wouldnt be concerned though.
Answer by D
Yes, it is normal. Lots of ladies don’t develop queasiness or fatigue until a bit later, and some not at all. Everyone is different. Just enjoy feeling well as long as you do, and then if you feel more symptoms later on, remember that they pass.
Breast Growth?. Recently, I’ve noticed one of my breasts growing larger than the other. Of course I know this occurs with all women, but it seems very much larger than my right breast. My boyfriend says I’m overexaggerating, but a few days ago the larger breast began to become sore and I’m wondering if it’s growing again and leaving my right breast even smaller. I can tell in the way my bra fits that the right breast is way smaller than the left (the left completely fills the bras and the right barely does). Is there some vitamins or something that would make my right breast begin growing? Could I be too young to get breast cancer, I’m just 18. I felt them and I don’t feel any lumps, just soreness. My left and larger sore breast is a little stiff too. It hurts when I press on it at the base on the top and left side only. I would go see a doctor, but I don’t want to waste her time if it’s just growing pains. Thank you for your help in advance.

If you suspect cancer, it’s never a waste of time.
If you have any concerns at all, especially if there is a family history of cancer, go to your doctor and have it checked out.
Please. It may make all the difference in the world.

Can you get these symptoms from prenatal vitamins or am I pregnant?. My husband and I are trying to conceive and I’ve been taking prenatal vitamins for the past 3 weeks. I’ve gained 3 pounds, my breasts feel a little heavier and my nipples are a lot bigger. I also experienced sore nipples 4 days after my ovulation for 2 days. Does anyone know if prenatal vitamins can do this to your body to prepare it for a baby? I know it sounds silly.. but I heard somewhere that they might make you gain weight?! I doubt it’s that, but I want to make sure…
I’ve also been really bloated and gassy for the past week and since 2 days I could eat twice what I eat normally and I’m having really bad cravings. Does it sound more like pregnancy symptoms? I’m only 7 dpo.
Thanks!
