Q&A: Is this just PMS or is it early menopause?

Question by ellagirl: Is this just PMS or is it early menopause?
I just turned 33. Since 2009 started, my PMS has gotten worse. As soon as my period is over, and I ovulate..I start to have PMS symptoms. I feel bloated, some pelvic pain, some breast pain. I find that particularly one breast in particular is painful.

Because I have noticed a change in my PMS this year, I am concerned that I am going into Menopause. I still get my period. My cycle is around 27-29 days. My period is 5 days long. Even if I am not in menopause yet, I am concerned that having stronger PMS indicates that I will go into the menopause sooner than later.

I started my period at 12, and my Mother didn’t go into the menopause until 50ish. I don’t have any children yet, but would like to eventually conceive. My GP doesn’t believe there is any reason I am starting Perimenopause. Should I ask for a blood test to check my hormone levels? Does this sound like early menopause?

Answer by QtMommy
I think PMS just gets gradually worse with age. Myself and many other friends have said the same. If you really are that concerned with it, ask for a blood test to ease your mind.

Yes it’s normal, as normal as things get when you’re pregnant. Everyone is different. I’m 36 weeks pregnant and haven’t had sore/achy boobs once. Other than morning sickness (week 6-15) I haven’t had ANY symptoms at all.

Q&A: why does my uterus feel like its being stretch or pulled aprt from the inside. my period was 8 days early?

Question by angel v: why does my uterus feel like its being stretch or pulled aprt from the inside. my period was 8 days early?
very unsusal for my period to be this early. in 33 years my period has always been on a 28 day cycle. feeling nauseous at the smell and taste of certain foods craving others especially carbs and sweets, burping more than i can recall. breast slightly sore and tender to touch. last period 2 days pale pink, 2 days light red in colour and flow 1 day light brown when wiping, then nothing. periods always 7 days long medium to heavy flow. ttc conceive but also now are aware this could be perimenopause. none of the women on either side of family peri/menopause before 50, so partner and i really are hoping that the baby mambo is working. we each have children of our own from previous relationships and would really want children together. please continue to sprinkle Baby Dust our way as we continue our dance . please refer to previous post today ‘i’m 44 and trying to conceive….thnx for the help. peace and blessing to all ttc.

Is it possible to be pregnant without sore painful breasts as an early symptom?

Question by Betrayed and Insane: Is it possible to be pregnant without sore painful breasts as an early symptom?
I could possibly be pregnant but I have not yet taken a test. With my first child, my breasts became extremely sore… I was wondering if its possible not to experience sore breasts… Has this ever happened to anyone? Is this common or rare? I just had a child 4 months ago and I am breastfeeding if that means anything too.
