Anybody know a reason why my breasts would be extremely tender?. I’m not pregnant. I’ve taken multiple pregnancy tests in the last two months.
I have two weeks before my period starts. Lord, I hope this pain doesn’t last that long!
I’m also 21 years old. They shouldn’t still be growing.

are you about to get your period, because thats what happens to me
Answer by HeatLea
You still could be pregnant. Had to take 7 tests when I was pregnant to get a positive. My daughter will soon be 10.
Answer by peterbilt197
It could just be that they’re going through a growth spurt. Or you are getting ready to have your period. You could also have a cold in your breasts. If it doesn’t get better or go away in a few days, make an appt. with your ob/gyn to be on the safe side.

In what part of the women’s cycle do the breasts get very tender?.
I’m asking this because, from what I hear, it’s usually near or during the period. But I feel it about two weeks before my period (my cycles are a bit longer). So I’m wondering if it indicates ovulation for me or not. I’m not tracking my ovulation… but just wondering.

Any. Hormones are funny things and it’s specific to each woman. It’s more commonly in the few days before and during your menstrual period.

Answer by Anna
During ovulation your breast get tender. That lasts right before your period unless you become pregnant.
Answer by JD
Hormones are such a funny thing I really don’t try to figure it out,
what I know is that about 1 week before my period my nipples get tender and then the tenderness disappear when my period comes.
Answer by brwneyes
Usually after ovulation up until your period. When you ovulate, your body produces progesterone. Progesterone causes your breasts to be sore. When progesterone goes lower as you are about to start your period, breasts go back to feeling normal.

Music composed and performed by Oscar Peterson (“Why Have You Betrayed Me?” from Easter Suite), Oscar Peterson (piano), Niels Orsted Pedersen (bass), Martin Drew (drums) Psalm 22 1: My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? 2: O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. 3: But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. 4: Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. 5: They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. 6: But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. 7: All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head saying, 8: He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. 9: But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts. 10: I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly. 11: Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. 12: Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. 13: They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. 14: I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. 15: My strength is dried up like a potsherd …

Are they more tender when you’re about to start your period?
Are you still growing?
Are you taking any medication?
Any of these factors could be to blame. If you are really worried about it go see your doctor.
Answer by Jordan
you just asked this question…. you could be just about to have your period again. and even tho you have had your periods, you could still be pregnant, it can happen, just not very often, and if you had cancer, you would have a lump. go to a doctor if you are that worried!
Answer by Makena
To my knowledge having tender breasts does not mean you have breast cancer. Usually breast cancer is shown when you have lumps or weirdly shaped breasts.
If you are still a teenager it could be just that your breasts are growing or I’ve heard of some women who just have tender breasts while having their period-or just having tender breasts all the time.
I wouldn’t be worried about breast cancer. But if you really are, call up your doctor and ask about it.

You have alien babies growing in your breasts. Once they reach full maturity they will squeeze out through your nipples and find mates with whom they can repeat the process.
Answer by Ali Pali
Your breasts normally feel more tender around your period, but I have no idea why it would be like that for a month. they may be growing. Apparently underwired bra’s can be bad for breasts while they’re growing. It could possibly be effects of the pill, as the pill has many affects on your hormones

Song of Solomon Chapter 7: 1How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince’s daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman. 2Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies. 3Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins. 4Thy neck is as a tower of ivory; thine eyes like the fishpools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bathrabbim: thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus. 5Thine head upon thee is like Carmel, and the hair of thine head like purple; the king is held in the galleries. 6How fair and how pleasant art thou, O love, for delights! 7This thy stature is like to a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters of grapes. 8I said, I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of the boughs thereof: now also thy breasts shall be as clusters of the vine, and the smell of thy nose like apples; 9And the roof of thy mouth like the best wine for my beloved, that goeth down sweetly, causing the lips of those that are asleep to speak. 10I am my beloved’s, and his desire is toward me. 11Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages. 12Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves. 13The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have …
