Well your breast may be sore due to numerous reasons….is it around the time for your monthly cycle (period)? Women tend to experience discomfort, tenderness and swelling of the breasts during the 7 to 14 days prior to their period.
Most PMS symptoms, including breast soreness, should disappear as your period begins. Over-the-counter pain relievers, such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, might be helpful. Wearing a supportive bra might also help.
Healthy eating, regular exercise, and getting enough sleep are really your best bets for lessening the ache. You might try cutting down on salty foods and foods that contain caffeine, like coffee, tea, and even chocolate. Try caffeine-free soda or herbal tea instead. Eating a diet rich in calcium helps with PMS symptoms.

Everybody is different. Some people never experience morning sickness. I first experienced some symptoms around 8-10 weeks; tender breasts, indigestion, etc…
Answer by sugarplumfaerie52686
it is really hard to say, i read that breast tenderness can come as early as 1 week after conception. But every women and every pregnancy is different. I didnt have morning sickness at all and others i know had it throughout there entire pregnancy. I think the “normal” time, or i guess average would be a better word is usually between week 6 and week 8.

Go take a test….how are we supposed to know.
Everyone is different, every pregnancy is different. I never had any tenderness when I was pregnant BUT I did when I was getting ready to start my period.
Just take the test if you’re that worried about it.
Baby slept through a night feeding – sore breasts and tender red spots?. Usually my 7 month old nurses before bed and then nurses twice in a 12 hour time span. Last night he only woke once (towards the end of the night). This morning one of my breasts is very sore and tender and has redness over the sore spots. It feels like bruising. How can I relieve this?

Answer by Nurse JC
This sounds like a plugged milk duct or possible mastitis. How are you feeling? If you are having any feelings of being ill or fever then it is mastitis and you need to make a doctors appointment for antibiotics. If not then it is a plugged duct and you need to nurse, nurse, nurse – rub the spot to try to get the milk flowing from that duct.
Answer by Destroying Angel
Get some of that Lansinoh creme. It is safe for baby to ingest if he needs to feed, and it helps with the soreness, cracking etc. experienced. I was fine by seven months, no pain at all. I’m wondering if there’s some sort of infection perhaps that’s creating the pain and redness. You should probably call your OB just to make sure.
Good luck.
Answer by auntesusub
use a breast pump and empty the breasts. If you have red streaks on the breast or start to run a fever call your MD because you may mastitis and need antibiotics.

If I get pregnant will my breasts get tender?. I had a breast reduction when I was 17 and I was wondering if my breasts will still get tender when I get pregnant because the surgeon cut the tube that the milk flows through. My husband and I are trying and I might be pregnant but I don’t have any signs and all the tests are negative but I’m 3 weeks late for my period.

hmm im not sure you should go ask your doctor and get a blood test for the pregnancy….if its still negitive doc may have to rule out other problems such as cysts which can be dangerous
Answer by Jennifer K
You have several glands that the milk runs through. I am sure your surgeon kept in mind that you are young and may get prego one day when he did your operation. My guess is going to be yes… you will have tender breasts when you are prego. Mine didn’t start hurting right away when I found out.

Oh yes very tender I would barely brush up against my wifes breast and she would either scream or smack me. So my wife would have to say yes on that one.

Yes they will also get swolen!!

Tender or sore breasts is a symptom but keep in mind that not everyone will get this. When I was pregnant with my son, my only symptom was that I was late for my period.
3 wks since last period, tender breasts and bloating, could I be pregnant?. My breasts have been swollen and tender for seven days and I’ve had slight bloating. My boyfriend and I use the pull out method which I know isn’t that effective and we’ve had sex just about every day this month. I cycle regularly and had my last period on the 24th of Dec which was exactly three weeks ago so if I had gotten pregnant it would have been about a week ago. Is it possible to feel symptoms this early? Should I be worried? I’m 21 and I’ve never had swollen breasts besides the day before my period.

You probably are….or if you’re worrying about it too much you could be having pseudocyesis (false pregnancy) it happens when you either want to be pregnant or if you stress about it too much. I’ve had them they aren’t fun. I would suggest if you don’t want kids and you aren’t pregnant don’t rely on pull out go get some kind of BC
Answer by kkhenry8
Sounds like it. But the only way to know for sure is to take a test. Go and get one right away!
Good luck!
