Answer by Pretty_Brown_Eyes
Well your breast may be sore due to numerous reasons….is it around the time for your monthly cycle (period)? Women tend to experience discomfort, tenderness and swelling of the breasts during the 7 to 14 days prior to their period.

Most PMS symptoms, including breast soreness, should disappear as your period begins. Over-the-counter pain relievers, such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, might be helpful. Wearing a supportive bra might also help.

Healthy eating, regular exercise, and getting enough sleep are really your best bets for lessening the ache. You might try cutting down on salty foods and foods that contain caffeine, like coffee, tea, and even chocolate. Try caffeine-free soda or herbal tea instead. Eating a diet rich in calcium helps with PMS symptoms.

Everybody is different. Some people never experience morning sickness. I first experienced some symptoms around 8-10 weeks; tender breasts, indigestion, etc…

Answer by sugarplumfaerie52686
it is really hard to say, i read that breast tenderness can come as early as 1 week after conception. But every women and every pregnancy is different. I didnt have morning sickness at all and others i know had it throughout there entire pregnancy. I think the “normal” time, or i guess average would be a better word is usually between week 6 and week 8.

Do you have to be pregnant if your breasts are tender and you missed a day of your periods.?. My breast weren’t tender after my miscarriage last year november and my periods have been coming regular since then for 3 months without any soreness of the breast or any of my usual signs and now im 2 days late of my periods, today is the second day. My breasts are very tender and they also feel heavy since some weeks now and im wondering if this have mean that im pregnant? Do u think im pregnant?

Solutions:

Answer by whateveryousay2007
Go take a test….how are we supposed to know.

Everyone is different, every pregnancy is different. I never had any tenderness when I was pregnant BUT I did when I was getting ready to start my period.

Just take the test if you’re that worried about it.

Baby slept through a night feeding – sore breasts and tender red spots?. Usually my 7 month old nurses before bed and then nurses twice in a 12 hour time span. Last night he only woke once (towards the end of the night). This morning one of my breasts is very sore and tender and has redness over the sore spots. It feels like bruising. How can I relieve this?

Solutions:

Answer by Nurse JC
This sounds like a plugged milk duct or possible mastitis. How are you feeling? If you are having any feelings of being ill or fever then it is mastitis and you need to make a doctors appointment for antibiotics. If not then it is a plugged duct and you need to nurse, nurse, nurse – rub the spot to try to get the milk flowing from that duct.

Answer by Destroying Angel
Get some of that Lansinoh creme. It is safe for baby to ingest if he needs to feed, and it helps with the soreness, cracking etc. experienced. I was fine by seven months, no pain at all. I’m wondering if there’s some sort of infection perhaps that’s creating the pain and redness. You should probably call your OB just to make sure.

Good luck.

Answer by auntesusub
use a breast pump and empty the breasts. If you have red streaks on the breast or start to run a fever call your MD because you may mastitis and need antibiotics.

If I get pregnant will my breasts get tender?. I had a breast reduction when I was 17 and I was wondering if my breasts will still get tender when I get pregnant because the surgeon cut the tube that the milk flows through. My husband and I are trying and I might be pregnant but I don’t have any signs and all the tests are negative but I’m 3 weeks late for my period.

Solutions:

Answer by samzprecious1
hmm im not sure you should go ask your doctor and get a blood test for the pregnancy….if its still negitive doc may have to rule out other problems such as cysts which can be dangerous

Answer by Jennifer K
You have several glands that the milk runs through. I am sure your surgeon kept in mind that you are young and may get prego one day when he did your operation. My guess is going to be yes… you will have tender breasts when you are prego. Mine didn’t start hurting right away when I found out.

Tender or sore breasts is a symptom but keep in mind that not everyone will get this. When I was pregnant with my son, my only symptom was that I was late for my period.

3 wks since last period, tender breasts and bloating, could I be pregnant?. My breasts have been swollen and tender for seven days and I’ve had slight bloating. My boyfriend and I use the pull out method which I know isn’t that effective and we’ve had sex just about every day this month. I cycle regularly and had my last period on the 24th of Dec which was exactly three weeks ago so if I had gotten pregnant it would have been about a week ago. Is it possible to feel symptoms this early? Should I be worried? I’m 21 and I’ve never had swollen breasts besides the day before my period.

You probably are….or if you’re worrying about it too much you could be having pseudocyesis (false pregnancy) it happens when you either want to be pregnant or if you stress about it too much. 3-4 weeks thats when it started for me with this one.
my first i didnt feel any symtoms.

Answer by BuN iN tHe OvEn DuE aUg 7tH
The tender breasts for started at about 6 weeks… the frequent urination at around 8 weeks since that is when the baby and your uterus begin pushing down on your bladder… good luck and hope all goes well!!

Answer by TSM
Tender breasts before I missed my first period. That was how I knew I was pregnant. And sore isn’t the word. I felt like a cattle prod was being held to them.

I didn’t get frequent urination until my third trimester. It’s cause by pressure on the bladder from the growing uterus and the large quanties of water I consumed on a daily basis.

Everyone is different though.

Answer by whatever
I’ve found if I eat less salty things the week before my period (even though thats what I crave) the pain is better. Not totally gone, but better.

Answer by MHnurseC
The best answer here is to be sure that you understand the fundamentals. The menstrual cycle has a purpose (and its not to make women miserable for a week out of every month).
When the egg is released from the ovary, so is progesterone. This prepares the uterus (and all the other female reproductive tissues) for pregnancy. This includes the tissues in the breast. Since this is something that does not occur with daily regularity, it can be uncomfortable. Try some tylenol for pain (aspirin and NSAIDs will only increase your bleeding when your period begins).

So, in response to your question, no there is no solution.

Sounds like pregnancy symptoms to me. Take a test now and to be sure take one when your period is a week late, because it sounds like it will be.

Answer by Edward M
Ignore the two above answers! If you are using protection, you do not need to worry about pregnancy.
Starting to have regular sex is a big change for your body as it is being flooded with hormones, something it hasn’t experienced before!! Also, depending on /how/ you’re having sex, it might be some physical aspect which is making them sore…so tell your boyfriend to be gentle!
I would imagine after a few more weeks you will be feeling perfectly normal again :)

Answer by Little Engine That Could
I was so tender during my first pregnancy that clothes hurt me. BUT, not really tender at all during my second. Every woman and every pregnancy is different. It could go either way.

It’s probably pretty stressful not knowing for sure. Take the test and calm your nerves. If you are not pregnant, check into Natural Family Planning to chart your cervical mucus. This is how I got pregnant and how we prevent pregnancy as well. It’s super easy and tells you when you can/cannot get preggers!

Good luck!

Answer by ♥♥♥TTC #1 Miracle!♥♥♥
Well hun it sounds like your other symptoms do fit early pregnancy I know not every woman has sore breasts. Keep in mind also that the later your period is the more pronounced your pre menstrual symptoms tend to be so if you normally experience these things before your period it could be that too. But it sounds like there’s a good chance you will get a BFP!

Can your breasts be tender before you even get a BFP?. My breasts started to feel tender (not painful) at 7dpo and are still tender now 9dpo. Can this in anyway be related to an upcoming BFP? Or is this related to ovulation or PMS? My period is due on the 29th.
So far this has been my only symptom together with constipation, (gross I am sorry) which is extremely rare for me.

Thank you.

Solutions:

Answer by Lexi
Wow, it can be both. Your breast hurt because of the extra progesterone in your body (after you ovulate). If you are pregnant, the progesterone level should stay up, if you are not, it drops and your period comes. It can be either or, its too soon to tell. Good luck!!

Q&A: What are signs of a tubal pregnancy? What causes it? And what does it feel like?

What are signs of a tubal pregnancy? What causes it? And what does it feel like?. I typed my last question out as tubal ligation because thats what i thought it was called, SORRY!

Solutions:

Answer by Michelle A
The causes are not known. It is any implantation that occurs outside the uterus—usually in the fallopian tubes.

Having had one—there is usually pretty intense cramping for days before anything serious could happen. You would have a positive pregnancy test if you test—-if in doubt you should call your OBGYN. I had one that burst and it is VERY serious.

Answer by Kelsey K
what causes it…hmm idk besides bad luck…it only happens in 1 out of 100 pregnancies…but from what I remember reading you’ll have really bad cramping on one side from the tube stretching…if you get really bad bleeding you need to see a doctor right away because it could be a miscarriage or the tube simply broke

Answer by ♥some♥wanna♥know♥™
I answered your other question & was wondering what was up with that!!! lol

The signs of ectopic pregnancy are:
abdominal pain, which may be focused on one side of the abdomen. Stabbing pain that quickly diffuses throughout the abdomen may indicate that the fallopian tube has ruptured. Shoulder pain may follow, indicating blood pooling in the abdomen.

Twenty-five to fifty percent of women experience nausea associated with an ectopic pregnancy, but it may be indistinguishable from morning sickness. Light spotting is another common symptom that may be indistinguishable from a normal pregnancy, but if the bleeding accelerates or appears to include tissue, it may be an indication of an ectopic pregnancy, especially around the eight week point of the pregnancy. Severe bleeding is always a cause for concern, whether or not an ectopic pregnancy is suspected.

If the fallopian tube has ruptured, severe pain and bleeding would be evident, and the woman may experience weakness, dizziness, a weak pulse, and fainting. These are signs of trauma from sudden blood loss that must be treated immediately.

Pregnancy symptoms feel pregnant but had light period?

Pregnancy symptoms feel pregnant but had light period?. Hi. I am 35 years old. I never have been pregnant. I am Very Regular 30days clockwork. I was only late once before and that was 7 days late and regular period. I have all the symptoms of pregnancy which resembles pms as well. I got my period 12 days late and I am normally Very very heavy and last 7days without rx. I take aleeve at higher prescription and get it for 5days and still heavy.

I feel very different. No more stress than usual and no changes in diet or exercise. I had normal period but not as heavy and only 3days without rx and only blood when I wiped on 3rd day. I have a lot of the early pregnancy symptoms. My last regular period was 6/10 thru june 15th. I got period on july 22nd in late pm.

I am very hopeful I am pregnant as my husband and I would like to have a baby. I was diagnosed with endometrosis but it isnt affecting uterus or tubes. Could I be pregnant?
I took a test before I got my period when I was 10day mark. It was negative. I ‘d go to doctors but we don’t have that great of health insurance. My husband doesn’t trust the “free clinics” out there. He says what does it matter if you are or not you can wait another month.

Solutions:

Answer by autumn baby
You should just take a test- you don’t have to spend a lot to get accurate results- just buy a test at the dollar store.

Answer by Rachel
If I were you I’d go to the docs. They can do better tests and give you advice and things. I dont think bleeding at all is very good but it doesnt mean your not so go see the doc and he can give you advice on what to do and stuff plus if you arent he/she can give you advice on how to get pregnant. There are always new ways and so he/she’ll prob be up to date with them. :) Good luck. :) Hope you’re pregnant!!!! xxx

Answer by cassy
Implantation bleeding usually only lasts for one day, at the most, so I think tis could be ruled out! Some women do experience some very light bleeding in pregnancy around the time their period was due, i’ve known of so many people who have experienced this on here, so I wouldn’t rule pregnancy out just because you’ve had a bleed. I’d test again and see what it says. Your partner can easily say it doesn’t matter if you wait another month, but i know thatw waiting for 4 more whole weeks can be tortutous for you, it’s your body, you’re obviously not feeling comfortable with it at the moment, you feel somethings wrong and it’s you who will have to put up with it. So, if you still test negative, then wait around 5 days and test again (as if this was implantation bleeding, just incase, you will not get a positive result until about 10 days after the bleed)! If it is still neg after this, then i’m afraid your only option would be to contact a doctor… or do what your husband suggested!

The continent of Africa is home to many tropical diseases, which cause illness and, in some instances, death. Tropical diseases wreak havoc on the social and economic growth of the continent and affect the health and welfare of those who travel.

To combat the affects of tropical diseases, and to ensure the health and safety of all Soldiers operating in the U.S. Africa Command operational area, the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, in coordination with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, has resurrected the formerly defunct Tropical Medicine Course (TMC) for the 21st century.

The original TMC was taught in 1941 and discontinued in 1991, after 50 years. It was resurrected in 2010 in response to the operational needs of AFRICOM and the Special Operations Command.

Once a six-week long course, it was converted to a targeted short course, and tailored toward non-physician health care providers. The week-long class is now a requirement for all medical professionals deploying to provide health care on the African continent, said Capt. Gabrielle Caldara, environmental science officer with U.S. Army Africa’s Command Surgeon’s Office.

Caldara, Sgt. 1st Class Roddy Rieger, the CSO’s NCOIC, and Staff Sgt. Darren Jones, a medical NCO with USARAF Headquarters Support Company, were the first Army Africa personnel to attend the class Sept. 13-17 at WRAIR in Silver Spring, Md.

The course focused on teaching medical personnel to recognize, diagnosis and treat a range of tropical diseases and ailments that can affect Soldiers who work and travel throughout Africa, said Rieger.

“There were a lot of lectures, seminars and hands on lab practices on things such as leishmaniasis and malaria,” he said. “We learned better ways to recognize symptoms and better ways to treat the problems.”

Among them was the Rapid Diagnostic Test, used to screen patients for malaria. The test uses only a pinprick amount of blood and “is as simple as using a pregnancy test,” Rieger said.

“This particular test allows medical professionals the freedom and convenience to test for the disease without requiring them to transport the patient to a medical facility,” Caldara said.

While Army Africa personnel attending the TMC appreciated the advances in treatment of many tropical diseases, Caldara stressed prevention and education remain key factors in disease prevention.

“This was a great class to understand the intricacies of these diseases, but in the end it all goes back to basics,” she said. “Proper precautions such as uniform treatment, use of DEET/insect repellent, adherence to proper medications and use of a bed net are essential.”

Sore breasts are a symptom of early pregnancy. What does it feel like? How painful?

Question by J.b: Sore breasts are a symptom of early pregnancy. What does it feel like? How painful?
My breasts have tingled here and there and I tend to have a sharp pain for a second, but I don’t knwo if that is what other women experience. Also, my last period was on 11/10. When can I find out if I am pregnant? I have received positive and negative results. The positive test was extremely faint and only had one vertical line in the plus sign (it looks like there are 4 veertical lines). This was from clear blue.

Question by ¡Marinabear!: What pregnancy symptoms did you start to feel BEFORE your missed period?
My period is due on Friday, June 10th, and I’m not feeling ANY pregnancy symptoms yet. As a matter of fact, yesterday I had cramps, which would mean I’m probably expecting my period, and not that I’m pregnant. Obviously I’m TTC, so this kinda worries me. What symptoms did you start to feel before your period, and how far before your period did you feel them?

Pregnancy symptoms? I’ve never been pregnant so I can’t answer this.

Hahahahahahah! Just Kidding! lol! I love messin with you! Actually, it may still be EARLY to have pregnancy symptoms right now. You have period symptoms a week before your period is do?

Hmmm, I mean in a way it all depends on you. Like do your breasts usually get tender and sore during your period? If they do, then no, that wouldn’t be a pregnancy sign for you. I mean like period like symptoms that you don’t normally get will probably occur due to pregnancy obviously. It all depends on you.

I mean if you don’t get a positive in your first pregnancy test then wait a couple days and take it again. Sometimes you recieve a false positive, also, make sure you take your test FIRST thing in the morning when you wake up, mainly so you have fresh urine to take the test. The results will so-to-say be “stronger”.

What should breast tenderness before period feel like? Because currently it is a bit painful if i prod them. But i will get it for a bit. And then it will go. I have a had a few periods before now, but can’t really remember what it felt like. Does it mean i will get my period in the next week or two. Because before my last period i remember having painful breasts for about a week and having little cramps and tummy grumbles.
