Question by Conkhouz: Is it normal “NOT” to feel any pregnancy symptoms other than sore breasts?
I’m 5 weeks pregnant according to the first day of my last period. My breasts were extra-ordinarily sore so I knew something was different. However, the soreness has subsided a little and other than that I don’t ahve any other symptoms. Is this normal?

Hiya :)

Yes it is! I didn’t really start to get any symptoms until I was 7 weeks (I knew at 5 weeks!) & when I did get symptoms, the only symptom I had was extreme tiredness!

Never had any sickness or sore boobs (even to this day!)

Every woman and pregnancy is different :)

Congrats x

Q&A: why does my uterus feel like its being stretch or pulled aprt from the inside. my period was 8 days early?

Question by angel v: why does my uterus feel like its being stretch or pulled aprt from the inside. my period was 8 days early?
very unsusal for my period to be this early. in 33 years my period has always been on a 28 day cycle. feeling nauseous at the smell and taste of certain foods craving others especially carbs and sweets, burping more than i can recall. breast slightly sore and tender to touch. last period 2 days pale pink, 2 days light red in colour and flow 1 day light brown when wiping, then nothing. periods always 7 days long medium to heavy flow. ttc conceive but also now are aware this could be perimenopause. none of the women on either side of family peri/menopause before 50, so partner and i really are hoping that the baby mambo is working. we each have children of our own from previous relationships and would really want children together. please continue to sprinkle Baby Dust our way as we continue our dance . please refer to previous post today ‘i’m 44 and trying to conceive….thnx for the help. peace and blessing to all ttc.

there is a fluid buildup in your breasts due to the change in hormones. it should go away shortly after your period.

What does Perimenopause feel like?

Question by Justagirl: What does Perimenopause feel like?
I am 38 years old, will be 39 in a few days. I began menstruating at 11. I got my last period on 9/1 which was shorter and not as heavy as usual. My PMS symptoms are excessive fatigue and sore breasts. My PMS symptoms have not gone away and my period has been gone since Friday. Instead of getting less sore or being not sore at all, my breasts are killing me! Even the shower is an issue. I have an appt with my ob/gyn this afternoon. I expect her to tell me perimenopause has begun since all the symptoms I am experiencing point either to that or pregnancy. I can’t be pregnant, I had my period less than a week ago. Are these the types of symptoms you would experience when menopause begins? I thought I was too young to be going through this already. Any ideas?

It definitely is a lot like being stuck in PMS all the time. And that’s the best part of perimenopause :D (the worst being the hot flashes, night sweats, moodiness, and anxiety).

Just to warn you, your gynecologist will probably NOT tell you that you’re starting perimenopause (and a blood test probably won’t confirm it at this early stage either). My doctor told me I was “too young” to be in menopause at 47, even though I’d only had two periods nine months apart during the previous 18 months. But my estrogen levels were just about at zero by then, so the blood test results did shut the doctor up.

Fibrocystic Breasts? What does normal breast tissue feel like?

Question by *~* Princess*~*: Fibrocystic Breasts? What does normal breast tissue feel like?
Recently I had some white discharge coming from my nipple (i do have both pierced) and while looking at that on the net I came across something called fibrocystic breasts saying that it can be a symptom. And in that condition the breasts are lumpy, like nodula.

Mine have always felt like that, I thought that it is normal for the flesh/tissue to be lunpy/like nodules?
No they don’t hurt

my boobs feel like random clumps of rubbery stuff.
i guess if your boobs hurt you should go to a doctor to have em examine.

this is from medicinenet.com [which you probably already read]

A common indicator of fibrocystic breast condition is breast pain or discomfort, but women with fibrocystic breasts may also not have any symptoms. If discomfort is present, the discomfort may include a dull, heavy pain in the breasts, breast tenderness, nipple itching, and/or a feeling of fullness in the breasts. These symptoms may be persistent or intermittent (coming and going), especially appearing at the onset of each menstrual period and going away immediately afterwards.
