Question by concerned: How to deal with fibrocystic breast changes?
I just found out a couple months ago that I had fibrocystic breast changes and I am only 24 years old. I was so scared at first I had even kept going to the doctor like 3-4 times a month till I finally went in for a second opinion last month; which he told me that same thing. But its like an addiction and I keep giving myself breast exams every single day and I do it so much and press so hard that I am sore and the only reason is because I am always thinking I find something new when really its bone. I just need someone to tell me thats this whole thing is normal and that the doctors are right and it is very common. I have so many family members that have this and no breast cancer in the family. I dont know what my deal is. I just need someone to give me good advice and nothing that is going to freak me out. Anything to get me to quit examining myself every SINGLE day. I am driving myself crazy, the doctors crazy, and my family; especially my husband.

i don’t know if this will help or not. i have it too, and my doc said it’s because i’m skinny, and have no fat in my boobs. gaining weight would help a little. cut down on caffeine and take 400 mg of vitamin E a day. just by taking the vit e has helped me a LOT because i can’t cut down on my caffeine!
